(Because we were testing different video players, some of you may not have seen this wonderful video by Pam Holland.  The close ups and eye for design make this a special treat.)

Talented quilter and videographer, Pam Holland, takes us up close to the quilts at the Birmingham, England Quilt Show.  Also, you are invited to send this video by email to a friend who would enjoy it.  It's easy. Click the "Share" button on the right side of the player and then add your friends' email addresses.

Do you really listen to the safety instructions on the plane?  We want to see if you are paying attention to Quilt Safety.

If you are paying attention, you will see the error we made.  What was it?

Back by Popular Demand!  Bernina is providing TQS with thirteen, brand-new instructional videos to help you on your way.

Beginning, Friday, May 7, a new video will be introduced every other week. You'll learn about embroidered applique, designing your quilts, using new edge finishes, and so much more.

The first video, Skinny Mini, will show you how to practice your precision piecing when making those narrow, quilted runners which are great for plant stands, window sills, sofa tables, and more.

Click on the banner here, or anytime on the banner in the upper left border, for great short sewing lessons.

This week's Quilt of the Week was chosen by Alex.  It's called "Panic."  It's 47" x 58" and is made of commercial batiks.  It mixes piecing and applique and was machine pieced and machine quilted.  It's from a purchased pattern by Kathie Alyce and uses the Flip Flop Block.

Aunt Sewsie says "I named this quilt "Panic" because I had several mishaps along the way -- a great learning experience.  I loved making this quilt so much and then had some faulous quilting done on it by a long-arm quilter that I wasn't going to give up.  I'm glad I didn't."

We're glad you didn't either AuntSewsie.
