Life at the Water's Edge by (40" x 46") Ann Horton, was discovered at the Pacific International Quilt Festival 2013 where it won Best Wall Quilt.  Ann used digitized embroidery enhanced with free-motion thread play. The animal tracks were stenciled and then quilted for highlights and she used a felting machine for the nest and embellishments. There are even a few bird feathers for a final bit of glory.
