Sherry Rogers-Harrison is at it again with this 1st Place finish in Large Wall Quilts-Longarm Quilted at Paducah 2014.

(The experiment of the new way didn't work. First, the large original size couldn't be seen, then when this was fixed, Flickr started asking for sign ins. I couldn't figure out how to fix it. As Thomas Edison would have said...It's not a failure, we have successfully found another way that doesn't work....-Capt'n John)

You recognize the taupes and greys of the Japanese artists in this quilt by Yoko Sugisawa. "Spring Is With Us Now" is 60" x 86" and features tiny appliqued flowers waiting for Spring.

We have shown two amazing quilts already in the Small Wall Quilts-Hand Quilted from Paducah 2014. Cindy Needham won 3rd place and Kumiko Funaki won 1st.

Now take a look at 2nd place, Four Loons and Friends, by Patricia Sellinger.

Kumiko Funaki took first in the Small Wall Quilts Hand Quilted category with "Rose Garden". Kumiko made this quilt with paper-pieced foundation hexagons.

It is based on the design source, "Applique Rose Garden Vintage Album Patterns', by Faye Labanaris.

Rob Appell talks to Brenda Ratliff owner of Pink Castle Fabrics and blogger at JustABitFrayed.com.  Learn about the exciting new Color Inspirations Club featuring RJR Fabrics Cotton Supreme Solids.

Brenda Ratliff is teaming up with RJR fabrics to bring you a bundle of 10 Cotton Supreme Solids each month! Each month she will choose a coordinating bundle of ten solid fabrics based around an inspirational photo. None of the colors in each month will overlap during the year so by the end of the 12 month cycle you will have 120 different solids!  You can chose to make something from the bundle you get, or break it up and add fabrics from your stash!  Choose fat quarter (18" x 22") or half yard (18" x 44") cuts for your bundle!
