Several of you have requested to see more of Libby's work space -After a first hand look of where she works and plays, I was struck by how incredibly organized she is. It inspired me to come home and re-evalulate my space and learn how to optimise where I quilt. Just because I have a wonderful area to claim as my own - doesn't mean it is being used to its greatest potential............
QUESTION: Where do you quilt and what is the best space saving or organizational tip you can offer?
Well - it is almost time for the school bell to ring - my school bell that is! As I have mentioned before, my video blogging adventure was not without a specific goal. Soon I will have a special area on the site where star members will be able to watch short video lessons. Many times they will be packaged as a seies - about 3 minutes each session. Watch for the star to flash, and when it does, be sure to come on into classroom and see what's up!
I would love to hear from YOU - WHAT do you want me to teach YOU? Please get me started with a list of topics that need to be discussed and taught -
We snuck away in Houston and got to see where Libby Lehman works and plays - As always, gracious and welcoming!
As the "win Ricky and Alex contest" comes into to the last week of voting, it came to my attention that one guild was concerned that their members had used two or three names for their group. As I started to "undo" their specific situation, I noticed that SEVERAL guilds were in the same boat. Hours later, I got the tally straightened out - I was AMAZED at how the standings had shifted. In addition to the shifting, the race is VERY CLOSE!!!!! If one of the guilds listed in the top twenty really gets organized this next week - Ricky and I could very well be at YOUR guild. You have until Nov 30th to rally the troops and tip the scales - This has become VERY exciting to watch!!!!
Quilters are the best! Meet two ladies I had the privilege of talking to. Also, check out TQS member Clara8 and her quilts on the site. Her work is AWESOME!
Now that Ricky is back safe and sound (although exhausted I am sure!), it's time to get back to the Houston Quilt Festival. First stop, some of the winning quilts. They were FABULOUS - in fact ALL the quilts were winners in my book!
Let's hear it for quilt shops across the world - NEVER EVER pass one up - Still kicking myself for not getting the Japanese fabric......................Thank you NY City Quilter for opening your doors to us!
How do I look?
