I am so excited that Ricky's Super Seminar is being held in Livermore this weekend! The facility is literally two blocks from where I grew up and went to school. Although this town has certainly changed over the years, it is still my town!

I look forward to seeing the entire gang - Ricky, Justin, Libby, Pat, Bob the thread guy (and of course his trusty side kick Heather), Jeff (I wonder if he's got a date?) and this time our web cruise director Lilo will also be in tow. And if that isn't good enough - my quilting friends from the area! YIPEE - it's not only a new day, but an exciting day!

WOW - I just previewed show 202 with Cindy Needham (to air this Monday)- wait until you see how to glorify your family linens and /or found objects. I LOVE this show- if you have not yet re-subscribed, now is the time. And oh, BTW: I hope every one has taken advantage of all the "After Sets" (segments shown after the credits - blame Oprah for this idea) - Cindy surprised both Ricky and myself.

Wow - another year goes by............three days to be born or one year to get fabric on the shelves (I think I'll pick the latter) - either way let's celebrate together and call it Happy Quilt Day to YOU!  (and THANKS for making it so easy!)

I love my home town! In preparation for the Super Seminar which will be held in Livermore next week, I decided to photograph the different aspects of Livermore to share with the attendees. Off to the Foscialina Ranch where baby lambs abound in Jan and Feb - In the materinty ward there were several new babies, one only four hours old - I got to hold a two day old baby lamb - I silently prayed that not only the mother would not hit me in the butt, but that the baby wouldn't tinkle -

Yesterday I had the delicious opportunity to take a class with Sandra Mullen at the LQS - In Between Stitches - Sandra is well known in our area for exquisite hand applique and the class was as good as her reputation. I showed the class the block of the month we will be offering here and everyone flipped - THANK YOU SUE GARMAN for sharing your talents with us. Anyway, as fate has it, Linda a student of mine, came in with a quilt she started at last years Quilting in the Garden. Fortunately I had my camera and she agreed to share. Great job Linda - and I like the fabric you choose for the backing! One of many great rewards of teaching is a student's accomplishment and enthusiasm for the process.
