He has been a dancer and an entrepreneur.  He is important to all of TQS, yet Alex and John have worked with him daily for 5 years and have never met in person..... until yesterday.

At 8:30am a strange thing happens at our house.  I moved some of the Christmas decorations to a display tray and when the sun comes in at the right angle.....Do you have any fun house accessories?

I was reminded yesterday (while talking to my buddy) that we have a secret language specific to quilting. If you said to a non quilter, " Wow, I really like your fat quarters" - most likely the recipient would be more than offended. My buddy and I started a list of expressions and now I am curious what our TQS community can come up with.....

When I walked into my studio this morning I noticed Sparrow had gotten into the holiday spirit. Not to be beaten by A CAT - I jumped into gear and started to deck the halls. How many of you are ready for the holidays and does this include a quilterly switch out to reflect the season? Just asking.......

As I sit in the hotel room watching John pack his stuff -I am amazed at how quickly both market and festival flew by. Not only were the quilts amazing and quite diverse - it was wonderful seeing all my dear friends. As a part of the TQS community you will be pleased to know that many folks have joined the fold. If you are reading this and are new to this crew....welcome to our diverse and wonderful community. Please fill out your profile and post your quilts. Remeber the slogan, "It pays to Play at TQS". We welcome you and look forward to many quiltie days together!

This weekend we are hosting a wedding reception in the back yard - GRATEFULLY, Mother Nature got the memo and the weather is going to be perfect. We have known the groom since (almost) birth and Jody came into his life about a year and a half ago. the GREAT news? She is a quilter!!!!!!!! I thought you might enjoy seeing what I made for her to wear inside her wedding dress. The ribbon says their name and the date of the wedding - It covers "something new and blue". I traced the letters onto the silk ribbon with pencil (very lightly), then when the embroidery was finished I hand stitched a hand dyed silk ribbon to the back side.
