While we have a break I wanted to show you a piece from the "Tactile Architecture" Challenge.
Here are some of the "School Houses" (presentations by vendors) being made to your local quilt shops. There are 5 pictures switching every 10 seconds.
I received this email this morning and I thought, "let's call out to the troops" What advice would you give?
April 17-25, 2010 you can visit 100 USA National Parks for Free. Is there a National Park near you and is it Free? The movie in a blog below is at lower Yosemite Falls in CA. This picture is the upper Yosemite Falls. Both were taken April 17, 2010.
Where is Alex and what is so Special this week in the USA?
Periodically in a work shop I throw out the question - What is (or was) your profession? Mine is an easy answer - I am a quilter! Before that, I was the telephone answering lady at Sears and worked at a Deli slicing meat -So besides the fact you are a quilter - what other hats have you worn in your adult life?
Alex has been sick with a cold for 4 days.
Now we find out it's not a cold!!! Forget 8, Alex wants a nine-patch.
Please send email congratulations to Alex at

Honestly - I think it should be International Quilt day - let's get real (loving all 100 countries here at TQS). Yesterday I completed 848 3/4 inch machine appliqued grapes (who was counting anyway?) along with several dozen leaves. The deadline is around the corner - What did you work on and from what country?
