Sparrow and I just screened tomorrow's show with Marcia Stein - we give it two paws up!
The December 2010 issue just arrived. I feel like I always get mine last, so I'm excited to have it already. Here is a sneak peek. Watch for the article about some of our TQS members on Broadway.
I am so excited for tomorrow! I am off to the Cotton Patch to take a class by Kaffe Fassett. Something has come over me and I am dedicated to LEARN and then even LEARN more!!! We are so lucky to be in the position to be inspired by others - either here at TQS or actually in person. So this begs the question, what is the last class you took and by who? Inquiring minds want to know.
I know this is old hat to the people who live in the middle of the USA, but it was brand new to me on the Coast in California!!
I think this might be the best show ever - the nursery is in top form along with incredible quilt. From the moment you get out of the car it is a sensory overload - oh and did i mention the shopping? oooohhhh - la - la.
My favorite weekend of the year is here - Quilting in the Garden at Alden Lane - see you there!!!
Although I am teaching tomorrow I took a moment to go over to Alden Lane and take a peek at the classes. In Sandra Mollon's class I caught up with friends and in Tracy Souza's class I was delighted to meet Christina, age 13. It's way great to see fresh young faces among the fold!
I am always surprised when people ask me about the grain of fabric - for so many of us, it is second nature - but to a person new to cloth it is a moment of discovery.
Please pass the word on to new quilters that these classes are for the world to see (open to Basic (Free) members) - right at the click of their mouse.
Alex has a new class starting. It's Piecing 101. Alex tells you about her goals for the class. The new classes will be in the Classroom>Alex Anderson. Classes start Tuesday, Sep 21, 2010.
