I believe our TQS community is one of the most creative groups out there - Now I'm going to put you to the test - I finished off this box of Oatmeal yesterday and can't bring myself to toss the packaging (I think it is charming) - does anyone have any good ideas on how to put this to good use? Go Green TQS!

"Magellanic Dreams" by TQS member StephanieNewman, Australia

We are so excited that Carolyn Reese (Road to California ) has offered us the opportunity to mount a special exhibit of TQS member quilts at next year's Road to California show, which will be held January 14 - 17, 2010, at the Ontario Convention Center, Ontario, CA.

The exhibit, titled "A Twist On Tradition," will feature twenty original quilts made by TQS members and based on traditional patterns or designs. We want to show the thousands of R2CA attendees how truly blessed we are with talent the of our TQS members from around the globe. Don't be shy or you'll miss this great opportunity to showcase YOUR quilted work. I need help.  I am a quilter and I like to shop for fabric. Well now that I have so much fabric I need a way to inventory what I have using my computer. Do you have any recommendation on software that I could scan in a a small piece and log how much I have in stock. Or do you know of any other system that would help me?

Please help Shirley by submitting a comment with your advice.

Arlene (scraparts) asks:

"I am in the process of updating my all in one printer and would like to know what is being used in the quilting arena. I do a fair amount of printing on fabric and don't want to buy one that does not handle the fabric sheets. I also use the copy function alot. Thank you for your suggestions. I currently have a HP 2410 and it uses a lot of ink as well as the rollers have had their share of work over the years."

I just spoke to Cyndee, my FAVORITE pirate at Alden Lane (watch her in action) and it seems that classes are filling for Quilting in the Garden 2009 - rumor has it that there are still some openings, but do not delay. As you can see, Alden Lane is the place to be - whether it is Quilt Show weekend (4th weekend in September) or international talk like a pirate day! To find out more information go here.
