Unexpected friendships have emerged during the development of The Quilt Show. We have come to love and appreciate our members, but also those who are behind the scenes that make this all happen. We are only two individuals with the desire to bring you the most sophisticated quilt site ever created - and we've only just begun.
One person in particular works tirelessly and has come to share our vision with tremendous enthusiasm. Bob Bigelow, web guru, was a god-send to us and his professionalism, commitment, knowledge, and genuine friendship is amazing. Check out this video.

Web Guru Bob became a Grandpa for the first time yesterday. Elijah, the bouncing 8lb 5oz baby boy discovered America in flying colors. Mom and baby are doing fine. Bob emailed me with the following: "You can officially call me grandpa and even though I never thought I would be happy to be old enough to be a grandpa, I am proud to be one (smile)."
In the midst of celebrating Guru Bob somehow managed to find time to put member profile thumbnails in the Forum. He never sleeps! And now that there's a new little one in the picture, he may be sleeping less than that.
Contratulations BOB!!!!
Be sure to visit chat room "Bonkers over Bernina" tomorrow night at 5:00pm Pacific/8:00pm Eastern when Nina McVeigh from Bernina will give tips on perfecting your quilting projects. Hope to see you there.
Congratulations!! You've broken through the 6000 quilts mark. Here are quilts 6000 and 6001. They are beautiful. You know that Ricky loves wonky, and who doesn't love variegated thread. See if you can find the quilters and let them know we love them being number 6000 and 6001.
Also, remember, when you have 6 quilts posted you are automatically entered to win Ricky's Rhapsody quilt that you are watching being made in the Rhapsody Blog.
MaryRinWI was recently vacationing in Greece and Turkey. While in Athens on a bus tour, she looked up and saw this sign on the side of a building. "Luckily, I happened to have my camera ready and caught this shot". It really is a "New Day!"

Are you fishing around for a new idea? Stay tuned, we have a great group project coming up VERY soon. I can't give away the details, but it involves fabric, thread, patterns and your imagination. Are you curious yet? What do you think it could be?
