Description

These wall art quilts are inspired from photos or drawings.  The techniques I use are raw edge appliqué, painting with acrylics, and thread to create interest and dimension.  

I do not have any formal art or sewing training.  I developed my skill through reading books, practicing, taking classes, practicing, trial and error, and did I mention practicing?  I'm learning how to describe why I choose one photo or drawing over another (it's not easy).   Picking photos or drawings, basically, I look at the drawings or photos and imagine it in fabric.  The colors, shapes, and general feeling I get from the main subject in the photo. 

I am looking to expand my horizons and share my skills with other quilters through teaching.
