I would try it on a photo in an album on your profile first. It might be that only the group administrator can do this for the groups. I've only done it on my profile. At least if you try it on your profile, we'll know whether it works for you anywhere and then can try to narrow down why it doesn't work on the group photos. I'll try adding a mug rug photo and updating the caption tonight after work, to see if it works for me here.
Just been for a 4 mile cycle ride (flop) not particularly voluntarily (puff, pant), to the dentist & back, to only way to get there today since DH has the car. Back to trying to add notes to photos. So I click on the photo album, click on the first muggie I put up and get the slide show page as per Nancy's description. Then I scroll down to the box that holds the file no. When I put the cursor over this box I get a red circle with a red line through it. I've tried using Tag this Photo, to no avail, and the last box on the right hand side which says 'in this photo' is equally uninterested in accepting any text. All I have been able to do is to put the information in the first comment. I tried adding text to this box when I re-uploaded & duplicated a picture last night, but it didn't like me losing the file number. Perhaps I will try adding the information to the file number next - watch out for more duplications....
