Machingers work well for me. I find that I can leave them on when I need to rethread my needle and they are quite comfortable. My only problem is that since they are white they do pick up dye from the fabric and start to look grungy.

I too use Mashingers as they are light weight and I don't sweat in them. Supposedly you can thread needles with these gloves on but since I have a threader on my machine(s), I have to worry about that. Interestingly I own 3-pack of gardening gloves called Womanswork and they look very similar to your new gloves. I'll have to give them a try with the quilting. Thanks for the idea!

Actually the webbing at the wrist in the new product is a finer weave/finer web. I'll bet they will last even longer than the originals being made that way!

Great story Laura, thank you for sharing that. I've wanted a pair of these gloves, saw another quilter wearing them and was intrigued. I've been using Mishingers for years (on my second pair), and they're "okay". Sometimes I don't wear gloves, it just depends on the mass of the quilt. I really want to try these, I can see more advantage to the area that's covered. Love watching your brilliant work. Thanks again.
