I have a number of wooden spools of thread - some empty and some not - that I would like to donate to somebody who might use them for crafts or some other purpose. In Canada please. Any ideas who might be interested?

How many tree toppers does one person need?

Once upon a time, and not all that long ago, thread was wound on wooden spools. Is there some serious reason why this can't happen again?

This should be a message to these companies to make the switch to an easily recyclable material or better yet compostable product! It's a cop out to suggest creative ways to reuse them.
