Alex, FYI, I purchased 11 FQ's + 1 yard for $125 about a year ago from Spoonflower & am very happy with the prints & quality, although I have yet to make the quilt. I want to make a retro mod style of quilt and could not find commercial prints to my liking. I enjoyed looking through their vast selection over several days. Basically I designed my own custom "kit". I thought the price was similar if I had purchased a kit elsewhere.

Very informative! I have dabble with designs on Spoonflower for a while. Just be forewarned that it can be addicting (much like quilting).

Very good info Alex. Thank you! The one thing I am wondering is how washable is the fabric? I ordered a panel that was designed by a quilter for participants to use in an online quilting class. Since I always pre wash my fabrics, I washed this panel on a normal cold water wash with fragrance free Dreft detergent in my front load washer. When I took the panel out there were places on the fabric that had crease lines and the print had rubbed off. I was surprised that had happened as it never has before or since with any fabric I've washed. The instructor said it was from Spoonflower and there weren't any instructions about washing or not with the fabric.
