Oh no, I had 35 sharp objects (scissors, rotary cutters, box cutter, seam rippers, ice pick, Xacto knife set). I reorganized it all and got rid of four items. :-)

I wallpaper for a living. When the current scissors are not working on wet wallpaper anymore, they are still excellent scissors for everything else. So they are in all of the drawers that they need to be in, around the house. After that, I give my excess to the local library. They are always needing sharp scissors. Plus, of course, I have around 9 large and small scissors for cutting fabric and 3 rotary cutters.

When I cleaned out my parent's house (she was a seamstress and quilter), I found 80 pairs of left-handed scissors, and only 5 pairs of right-handed scissors. My mother was a seamstress and quilter, so she evidently purchased leftie tools whenever she could! I asked my dad what he did for scissors and he just mumbles something....

 I have a scissor fetish. I have multiple sewing projects each with their own scissors and thimbles. I have a couple of gift sets offered at Christmas which include pretty scissors and either a retractable tape measure or a thread cutter in a pretty box. I confess I am saving these for something as I have not used them. I do look at them but have not taken that big step of removing them from the box. I love the spring handle Fiskars and actually got replacements from Fiskars due to the spring not holding the blades closed. They do stand behind their products.

Guess owning lots of scissors goes with the territory of being a quilter and seamstress. I still have the first pair of scissors I got when I was 4 or 5 years old! Blunt nosed and child sized. Had a pair that my father etched my name onto when I took Home Ec in 7th grade. Over the years, I have given some away and had some of my better scissors stolen, so I no longer have the scissors with my name on them. Like you, I have several pairs of small scissors that are in different places/pouches for applique, etc. Don't have any that are serrated, but I probably have a total of 30 pairs. What is not to love about scissors?

Oh My....I think I have a serious scissor addiction too. I'm afraid to gather them all up to count. They are in every room, bathroom, kitchen, garage, in the cars, my purse, and in the sewing room. You don't have to walk far to find a pair of scissors in this house.
