What a great idea! I belong to a small group of seven quilters who meet in Sisters OR every year for the show. When one of our group list everything in the fire we banded together to outfit her again. A loan of a Featherweight and donated tools and fabric was easy to put together. We used a cloth grocery bag filled 2/3 full with fabric picked out for a quilt, room on top for a shoebox of thread and a zippered tool bag. A small cutting mat fit in beside the fabric along with a small (6x12) ruler. Think small! My friend has a room in a friend’s house and not much space, but she is outfitted to begin sewing again.

My daughter has some kind of magic washing stuff that removes smoke smell from fabric. We tried to offer it to David Taylor, but his email account was a mess and we did not get through to him. If interested for any of your stuff, or if you know of someone who needs it, let me know at cezil@mac.com.
