I always find these stories hard and sad to read. It always makes me wonder what happen to the children as they were so young when their mother was taken from them. However, what a wonderful thing to do to honor the maker by donating the quilt to a museum where it will be preserved and taken care of for others to see and learn from even if just by looking at photos. I would definitely want to thank LeAnne Traybsza for being so unselfish by donating (rather than selling) this beautiful historic quilt.

Another lovely and moving story. Imagine having/taking the time to craft such a masterpiece while having 4 children and dying so young.
