My Aunt is now 91 yrs young. She moved to Atlas Peak Rd in Jan 1, 1970. She has now gone through two fires...which totally destroyed her homes (1981 and 2017). Her name is Belva Gibson, our Auntie B. She insists on moving back to Atlas Peak, her new home will be ready in Sept 2018. She has been living with us here in Petaluma since the fire...she came with the clothes on her back. I saw a tv show about the fire victims receiving a free quilt. Can you please help me find this information. It would make Auntie very happy to have a new quilt to keep her warm. Thank you so mush for a reply...Judy Metcalf 707-7632348.

reply to marsuz: The person who posted this happiness is a warm quilt paragraph is not a guild member, does not live in Santa Rosa and no one here authorized her to spell out any rules regarding quilt size. Your best info would come from Santa Rosa Quilt Guild or Moonlight Quilters of Sonoma Co. online newsletter. We have contact people within these guilds who live here and know what we need. Marsuz, your thinking makes sense to me. To make full size bed quilts for people who don't even have their own beds and no place to store these large quilts is coming from someone who doesn't live here and didn't ask us. Any support you want to offer is best made through our local quilt guilds. Thank you so much.

I am so sorry to see what happened to this beautiful state. My guild makes many many donation quilts but not many 'bed size'. Many of our members are really up in age and they would never make anything larger than a throw. I think Cal. should welcome any size and kids quilts would help kids take comfort in their new surroundings. Just my thoughts.

Thank-you for reaching out to those of us who call this beautiful wine country home. This fire storm was just that, our neighborhoods were burned to the ground in what seemed to be a blink of an eye. 4 miles in less then 20 minutes the fire scared the earth but not our spirits.thank-y ou for helping with quilts of comfort and caring........
