We went through the same evaluation recently, except we decided to get a bigger RV, a class A instead of a Class C. We want to spend more time on the road and it was getting difficult to maneuver with two dogs and a husband in the small C.

You must feel relieved to have more room AND a vehicle to drive around while visiting new places. We agonized over choices too, and ended up choosing a big rig and towing a small car. I don't know that there is a perfect choice out there. We liked all of us being comfortable inside the motorhome, access to potty while driving, access to food and beverage, access to bed if someone wants to nap while driving, and access to in motion satellite TV while driving in the. Ring places like from Boise to Reno! Lol. Driving and towing over 60' is ok, but try to find a parking space at McDonalds!

:D 600 Pounds! Yikes! Good thing you are trading up to the travel trailer. I think you'll enjoy that. That is what we have. I will need to look into your chosen choice as we eventually want to get one a bit larger (but have to wait as that means a bigger truck). Yes, keep all your weight ratings close in the cab of the truck. You'll need them when you least expect (like crossing back into the US from Canada, I had to confirm the weight and truck with the border agent). As you travel you'll see scales at stops, always a good idea to check in once and a while to give you an idea of where you're at. Have a great trip!

Wow! Interesting I had a discussion yesterday with a co-retreat member who spent 5 years on the road and explained load limits to me! New freedom with being able to detach the trailer and drive the truck! How does Enzo feel about the change?
