Why sweat folding a fitted sheet. The world won't stop turning if it's a bundle. Just get it into a sorta square that will fit in your cabinet. It won't be wrinkled once it's on the bed anyhow. We all have better things to do with our time!

After using fitted sheets for years, I used a pure cotton FLAT sheet over the mattress, Its so much easier to straighten out each morning, easier to hang on the washing line, and so much easier to fold when dry.

Like Galyn, I worked at JCP in the Linens dept...could never understand why customers felt they needed to take the sheets out of the packages...but I learned how to fold a fitted sheet in no time flat, so it was well worth it!!

So funny, poor gal. I have always folded this way, when I worked at JCP in the linen department, I always got the task of folding the sheets to put back in the packages after customer took them out. This gave me a good laugh.

I had to laugh when I saw this. I recently was asked by my quilting group to bring my king sized sheets to a meeting an show how i fold them to make a wrapped stack ready for the linen closet. I fold the fitted one like you did. I fold the top sheet in half crosswise 1 time then lengthwise twice. I fold the pillowcases lengthwise once and stack them on top of the top sheet that has been partially folded. The folded fitted sheet comes next, laying it a the short folded edge of the top sheet. Take hold of that folded top sheet edge and flip the whole sack over and continue 3 more times. You will then have a neatly folded sheet packet ready for the shelf!

I learned this trick years ago, but do it a bit differently. I start with a corner on one hand, then find the opposite corner along the same outer edge and get that folded over the first and then repeat on the other side, then flip the two corners on the right hand over the two corners on the left hand. Then lay it out on the bed and fold in the edges to make a size that fits within the folded flat sheet. The pillow cases go in also and fold the flat sheet around the rest. All the sheets you need for one bed are now together.

There is an hysterically funny scene in an episode of "Grace and Frankie" in which Lily Tomlin presents Jane Fonda's character with a perfectly folded fitted sheet, saying it took her 45 minutes to fold it. Then, she shakes it loose and swears off folding sheets forever. I keep my fabric stash fairly tidy but the linen closet--not so much!
