Was doing a rose floral design applique using Fasset fabric on borders then bringing the design into the center of the quilt which consisted mostly of solid fabrics pieced into strips creating a great background. This is done on my sewing room floor. All the little pieces had a lightweight fusing on the back (leaves, stems, flowers - over a hundred pieces). Took me two weeks to get the design to my liking (size approx 60x78). So before I started fusing to quilt I let my project remain on floor. Someone opened the outside back door of my sewing room - wind blew off all my pieces. To this day I just can't bring myself to recreate it all over again. That was four years and two hip replacements ago. All that bending is just not in my bones anymore !!! Hopefully I can buy a few folding tables and start anew !!!
