Mine was made for me by my daughter and is in two parts. Both 2” think insulation board, 4 feet square and covered with Hobbs batting. I fixed then to my sewing room wall with Velcro. One is near my sewing machine table, while the other is across the room.

I used a piece of flannel for many years hung over the closet from a piece of wood. I recently made a flannel covered one with 2 layers of insulation glued together. This one is portable. Plus I can use the back to block a quilt.

I have a design wall made of insulation board covered in Fons and Porters Flannel design sheet. It has worked great until just recently. Got a new kitty and he turn it to shreds, so I am really excited to see some roll up options available. That will teach that little fir ball. :-)

My design wall is a large flannel backed tablecloth I bought on clearance held up with push pins. Total cost? Less than $5.00. Being on a fixed income I couldn't afford one of the nice ones so this works perfect for me. It's large enough for a full size quilt.

My design wall (6 ft square) was planned for when designing my quilt room. I used foam insulation board covered by flannel & attached permanently to the wall with wood slat strips (foam glued to the wood). I just wish it was bigger for those rare queen size projects. But for me it's mostly perfect. :=)
