I'm in the same position so what I've started doing is, I got an Epson DS-510 document scanner and have been going through my quilting/sewing magazines, pulling out the articles that I've saved them for or whatever else hits me. I'll scan them and save them to my Evernote account. The scanner does auto-duplex so you get both sides scanned in one pass & you can set up macros to save them different places like Evernote. Then I have access to them no matter where I am.And if you're as nit-picky as I am, you can take the finished scan into Adobe Acrobat & remove the ads. Acrobat Reader doesn't do this, I don't think.

I encourage everyone to be open to organizing your sewing space. Last January I saw a u tube video about folding my fabric. It took me a few weeks, i work full time, to fold all of my fabric to fit my cabinets. This has been so liberating. My fat quarters and large scraps are arranged by color family in clear shoe boxes. Not everything else is organized like it should be but I was able to finish two baby quilts and three bed size quilts for my grandchildren this year along with some other craft projects. . I now clean up my fabric after every project. I will be watching to inspire me to orgaize the rest of my supplies

I just cut a hole in my sewing table to put my machine in flush with the table top! I hope this opens up a lot more quilting possibilities for me. At 5'-3" I can't quilt on the extended platform that puts the bed of the machine at 33" H. Ricky's video makes me want to build a second story on my garage for a quilt room. Not that I can. But I can dream!

Great timing -- I'm looking forward to the series. My problem -- I just can't seem to let anything go. One goal I had was organizing my computer files. I went through my annual panic wondering if I have all the TQS BOM files. I have files back to the 2008 BOM on four computers! I couldn't find 2013's the Two of Us until I did a PDF search. Any tips on organizing computer files would be appreciated.

Can hardly wait to be able to organize my sewing and craft rooms. We had a flood over a year ago that took out 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, the laundry room, the garage and my craft room where I stored my fabric and have my cutting table I have boxes stacked every where. The contractor is still working on the craft room. Has already put up some shelves, finished the floor. Working on the bookshelves now. I have unpacked some fabric but not sorted them just threw them on the shelves This comes at the right moment to help me with organization which I am very bad at. I'm a piller not a filer
