I have hung only a couple of my quits on walls, using the 3M removable hooks and a curtain rod. The great majority of the quilts I make and actually keep, are folded over chairs, used on beds, or folded over the railing of my hallway, or a freestanding quit rack. I am currently thinking about making several of the ladder-style of rack that leans against the wall because my house is starting to look like a "padded cell"!!! I give away most of what I make, and I believe most people who receive them use for cuddling, or maybe to enhance their home decor. They are usually lap size.

I have quilts on all the beds and have a lap quilt folded on my couch. Used to hang small wallhangings in one room in my house. Don’t have big walls to hang large wall hangings on. Would never hang one with pins.

I hang mine like Jeanne 9091, with the exception that my 'hanging rod' is wooden lath, or a strip of wood that is the right size. I used to help out with a local small fair and when offered T-pins and push pins to hang quilts and textiles with, I nearly went ballistic! "We've always done it that way." NOT ANY MORE!

I don’t use either method. I buy a flat metal piece at the hardware store1 1/2” wide and drill a hole at the top end of the bar on both sides. I make my sleeve 1 1/2” shorter on each side of the quilt. I nail the bar to the wall and remove it on one end to slide the quilt onto the bar. I replace the bar on the wall and the quilt hangs against the wall straight and flat.

I would need to check two boxes. I never hang with pins, but wall hangings are hung with a hanger or rod, lap or couch quilts are folded in baskets, draped over a quilt rack or just draped over the arm of the couch or foot of the bed and bed quilts are on the beds. I checked the third option.
