When I downsized from my home with a basement quilting room, my daughter-in-law offered me half of her basement for my stash and cutting table - I also manage to have a sewing room in my 2 bedroom apt which I have stocked top to bottom with fabric. My greatest pleasure was when my two granddaughters, ages 12 and 16, came and shopped in my stash and I bought each of them a new sewing/embroide ry machine. I've passed the torch!!!! Love the Alex Anderson tutorials and love my fellow quilters.

I'm both. But when things get organized and put away, or projects put into storage bins, it is the kiss of death. Out of sight, out of mind. Move on to something new -- which means "fabric shopping!!!"

question/option s are confusing. I have fabric sorted by colours on my shelves, but would not call myself 'organized', as my sewing stuff is scattered around the house! incl fabric! The stuff I'm going to work on, the stuff I am currently working on, the stuff I worked on last, and even stuff from 2 or 3 projects ago! NOT organized... but the stuff that is on the shelf is nicely colour-coordina ted for easy-to-find.

The question is not clear. To me “needs organization” and “fabric laying all over” are one and the same. Personally, my fabric is organized, but when pulling fabric for a project, all of that pulled fabric is usually laying around ready to grab.

I think this is a little confusing. It looks like the top choice should be for the left image and the bottom for the right one. Since they aren't labeled, we have to guess. Personally, I'm in between. I don't have fat quarters separated, and I reorganized all the time. But I do have colors separated as best I can.
