What a great history and description of the art of Santos, Lilo. Thank you for sharing. Spanish Market takes place in Santa Fe each summer (this year July 28 & 29). The streets around the downtown Plaza are filled with the work of both traditional and contemporary painters, carvers, and those who work in other mediums as well. Works are available for sale in all price ranges. It's wonderful to see this traditional culture adapting and thriving (just like quilting has done).
